The Bagua - Black Sect Feng Shui

Black Sect Feng Shui, has at its core, the concept of the bagua.  The bagua is an energy map in the shape of an eight sided symbol, an octagon (as seen above).  It is based on the oldest book in Chinese civilization, called the I Ching.  Each side of the bagua represents a different aspect of life, such as: Career, Fame, Family, Children and Creativity, Benefactors and Travel, Knowledge and Self-cultivation, Wealth, Marriage and Relationships.  The center of the bagua harmonizes all the areas together and represents Health.  The entire bagua can be overlaid on an entire house, building, property, or an individual room, desk or bed in order to determine which areas need to be adjusted energetically.

Simple adjustments to the energy of an environment can be made by repositioning furniture or accessories, adjusting with color, using various shapes and by adjusting with the five elements.  In Feng Shui these elements are: fire, water, earth, metal and wood.  Each of these are represented in a different gua or section of the bagua and have different attributes attached to them, such as color, a direction and a trigram of the I Ching.  By adjusting with the elements, you are adjusting many different areas simultaneously.  As we make changes to our environment, we can expect to see corresponding changes in different areas of our lives.  Most solutions or cures can be interchanged throughout the different areas of the bagua according to your personal needs and tastes as long as elemental balance is maintained.

Feng Shui is another method or tool for dealing with life's issues.  Traditional methods are getting a good education in order to get a well paying job that can increase  wealth, getting counseling when we are having personal growth or relationship issues or using prayer to develop ourselves spiritually.   All these things we can do physically or mentally to deal with issues that may be affecting us and our ability to try to be happy.  Feng Shui gives us another way, an all encompassing way, addressing all of life's issues and concerns.  By using Feng Shui principles and techniques you can increase the energy in those areas of your life that you wish to enhance, while at the same time experience a greater sense of overall balance and harmony and contentment.

Always align the Bagua with the wall containing the front door or the main entrance to a room, even if another door is used more often.

Projections can cause either an "enhancement" or a "missing area", depending on how far they extend from the house or work place. Generally speaking, large projections create "missing areas" while small projections create "enhancements".

In HOUSE A, the large projection in the wealth area creates missing Fame and Marriage areas. Although someone living in this house may have money, his or her reputation and/or relationships may need held. These areas could benefit from Feng Shui adjustments.

In HOUSE B, the projection in the marriage area creates an enhancement while the projections in the Benefactors and Knowledge areas create a missing area in the Career area. In such a house, a person may have great relationships, but his or her career may be struggling. Once again, that area could benefit from Feng Shui adjustments.
